Our latest Game Guide on the AE Player Insider is focused on a relatively new title from IGT — Magic Moons.
Magic Moons is a classic five-reel slot game with 20 paylines that pay from left to right only. Winning combinations must be on consecutive reels and begin on the first reel on the left. All game symbols other than the bonus trigger and wild symbols have a bonus pot associated with them. Only the single highest win is paid per wagered payline.
Magic Moons combines realistic nature imagery with a bit of a fantasy twist! Filled with wolves, bears, and other majestic creatures, the game brings the player on a journey to the center of a deep forest with only the light of a full moon guiding them. High-paying symbols found in the game include a majestic grizzly bear and mysterious wolf. Other high-paying symbols include a moose, eagle, fox, and wildcat. Traditional wild, ace, king, queen, and jack symbols can also be found in the game. In addition, an image of a full moon serves as the trigger to the bonus feature found in the game.
During regular game play, five in a row of any symbol (without the help of a wild) will award the content displayed for that particular symbol’s bonus pot. The number in each bonus pot is a combination of the base pay, plus the amount incremented in each pot. The maximum number of dollars incremented in any bonus pot will range from $170 to $1,099, depending on the number of dollars wagered per line. Dollars accrued beyond these limits will be held in a hidden bonus pot and used to re-seed the bonus pots when won. Wins of three or four symbols award a line win and increment that symbol’s bonus pot. Wins of five in a row (with the help of a wild) will award a line win and increment that symbol’s bonus pot.
Magic Moons includes an exciting bonus feature — the Magic Moons Bonus — triggered by five or more scattered full moon symbols showing up on the reels. Immediately, the player will be awarded three free games. Different reels are used during the bonus feature, which consist of one independent reel per symbol position. The full moon symbol that originally triggered the game will lock for the duration of the bonus feature. If a player receives more full moon symbols, they will also lock and reset the remaining number of free games back to three. The bonus feature will end when three consecutive free games result in no wins OR 15 full moon images are accumulated. If 15 full moon symbols are collected, the Full Moon Bonus Prize is awarded with a value of 125X the total bet.
